Ah, cheap beer o'clock. Almost done with the smoker until the fourth. The chicken and pork is in the crockpot. Smells really good in here.

Ahhh, went to the Amish greenhouse again, Johnathan decided today was it, "take whatever you want, it's free today. I spent the day planting hundreds of flowers from six packs, in a couple weeks it is going to look awesome out front, I guess my rule about everything having to be food is set aside. You need flowers to feed your soul, took care of that in good shape today. Lynn called, on her way home, so when she gets here, we can still make the Amish Ice Cream store. The nice weather is gone, had to put the AC on an hour ago, you can feel the humidity building, topped out at 89 today, guess I can't bitch, the last three days have been absolutely perfect. Picked up some ribs and burger from Ron's and we are ready to start partying tomorrow. In fact I am ready right now, my hydroponic friend made sure this holiday would remain memorable....WINNING!!!

You probably do not want to set foot outside this morning, you can cut the humidity with a knife, this sucks! I guess all I will be going out for today is church, then I will stay put inside.

Had a blast cooking yesterday. The chicken was perfect, but the pork and steak were both at that point of cooking where they were tough. In the crockpot they went. Fixed 'em right up. Had the best chicken sammitch.. Split some popple for the fire pit and planted yet more eggplant this morning. Hansel White this time. Gonna string up some led Xmas lights over to the fire pit, and then pull some weeds, if we find any. Brunch or Lupper? I'm not sure but it should be edible.

James is working on tar papering the roof of the coop and then shingling it-we have a few bundles of cedar shakes left over from doing the shed. I think he is going to use those.
Rick-I love the look of Christmas lights strung up during the summer for get togethers! I have a friend who has a farm and she has this big apple tree that was half way felled during a storm. Well they left it the way it was because it made a really cool little cave area with the branches. The tree is still living like that so they put chairs inside and then strung the whole thing with lights. It's WAY cool!
That humid air mass is heading this way I think-although we are supposed to get wicked T-Storms here this afternoon. So chores a we go until it hits.
I put a load of mint leaves into the dehydrator this morning. I wanted to chop my path back because it looked like it was getting ready to bloom. Gonna print out a lot of pages from the net about the medicinal uses of herbal teas and tinctures. I have a loose leaf binder just for prep info. During times of stress I think it would be easy to forget stuff.

We have to cut back the mint here too. I guess Lynn decided we are skipping church this week and hanging here. So that means I can get out and plant the last 72 flower plants out front, then a little weeding till it get's unbearable. Fireworks tonight.
