It was a FANTASTIC concert, probably one of the top 3 I have ever been to. I liked Willie Nelson's music better, but Travis put on a better show. I was lucky enough to see John Denver in concert in the late 70's and he's one of the top 3. The one was Emmy Lou Harris. What a voice! What made those two was that I knew virtually every single song they did. I may not have known everything that Travis did, but the man is a true performer.

It's 60 and drizzling. I'm debating going out to sink more fence posts. I wouldn't have to worry about overheating, that's for sure.

I'm off in a few minutes to probably spending money on tires for my truck. I'm tired of my damn bank account hemmoraging. Last week it was money on dental work not covered by insurance, this week it will be on tires that look fine, but have started making horrible road noise at about 40mph.

I'm tired of my damn bank account hemmoraging. I sympathize! I recently had to spend $200 to have the sewer line power snaked! Apparently they built the old lines with a trap outside underground on the way to the town sewer line, well, of course that's where it was plugged. I snaked and snaked and snaked, I snaked 'til I turned blue (and the air too) LOL, but couldn't get it unplugged. They had quite a time getting the power snake through the trap. It should be dug up and removed. I just checked the radar, looks like there are showers on the way. That's good, it's getting dry here! ~Martin

I was going to do pruning this AM, that's out. It is raining pretty hard here. BUT!!!....I am thinking because of this beautiful rain, .....we might be picking Morels next week!!!!!!! Besides, it was getting hard to detect those deep signals with the ground so dry, the metal detector works a lot better when the ground has moisture to help with conductivity. Soooo....I guess since I am going to be inside, I will be designing some ads for the paper. Lynn still helps me a little, but I was able to design several ads for the paper last month and just finished a full page ad for Dave Wilson who writes for us. (4-Star Jewelers) When Lynn finally got a look all she could say was..."I am impressed, nice ad" . Kinda like getting a gold star, she is so picky that I was ready for a lot of criticism, but there was none, I guess I am learning. ;D That will free her time up a little. I haven't broken to her yet that we need to add another 4 pages to the paper . This month is a repeat of last month, there isn't any filler and I am having a real hard time fitting everything.

I went berzerk and bought 3 Snapper rear engine riding mowers at an average of $66, one only needs a battery. I'll combine the other 2 with one that my uncle has that's without an engine that I can get for free, along with a deck that my brother has. I'll keep 2 (I'm sick of push mowers) and sell the other one at a good price to pay for it all.

Sweet deal Martin. I am SO jealous of your ability to do that kind of work. Somebody added an 11th Commandment to my "owner's manual" when I was created. It reads, "Thou shalt never be successful tinkering with anything that uses an internal combustion engine." I can bolt and unbolt with the best of them, but don't expect me to EVER get anything running. (And if it was running, don't expect it to do so when I'm done!)

If anything gives me a real hard time, I'll try to sucker my brother into fixing it! LOL ~Martin

I'm really impressed with the number and variety of features. It's even possible to email pdf and other compatible files to the Kindle. That's a major convenience because I have a lot of pdf files banked in my email account. ~Martin
