Since were almost all FOODIES, and we type about it alot, I figured we needed a chowhound thread. This afternoon I cooked some shrimp and scallops (that I defrosted overnight) in some olive oil and butter, with garlic, parsley, and white wine. Made a sweet lil scampi. I didnt have linguini, so I used penne rigate. While tossing it up, I chucked in some parm. cheese. I'll freeze the leftover scampi tonite, and devour the other 1/2 pound of pasta tomorrow.

Sounds yummy. I miss good ribs cooked by someone other than me. Nice dry rub, with a sticky, tangy sauce to finish it.....Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We're picking tonight-pasta with shredded chicken and parm. Tomorrow I'm doing a turkey dinner. I'm rotating the freezer-but this is an awesome idea Rick! We should post our favorite foodie recipes!

I had three 8 oz. Tubs of leftovers, 1 scampi and 2 scampi oil. Each one will easily flavor a pound and a half of pasta. I'll dig out my Moms and Grandmothers recipes whenever. Must be good stuff, I'm one of the smaller ones. LOL. Some of the old ones have the old measurements. Kinda cool. WTH's a 'smidgen'?

Well I didn't get my ribs, at the last minute Lynn decided that she didn't want to drive across town so we ended up at a pizza place, I had a chicken cheesesteak and she had lasagna. It was less than half the cost the other place would have been, but dang I had my mouth ready for ribs,,,,

I'm the same way.

Took a chicken parm casserole doohinkus out of the freezer, and just chucked it in a cold oven. Suppah in an hour. Remember the one and only time I threw a frozen pyrex meal in a 350* oven. THAT was fun to clean up. Made a small breakfast pizza this morning. fresh egg, sharp cheddar, garlic and crushed red pepper, scrambled. Didnt have any bacon of sausage. Edible, though. Your pizza sounds really good, Martin.

I made deep fried flounder and french fries ( one of Lynn's favorites ) for dinner. She took off tomorrow so hopefully we can get a jump on the paper for next month.
