Everyone usually asks me if I want the jars back when they are done. I always say yes-then depending on the person I say, it's easier for me to fill them back up for you.
I like the poem.

Neither my Mom or Sister ask for them back....that's how I got a lot of my jars....it's usually a couple cases a year....LOL
They're always finding cheap jars at Rubbish Sales and the like.

How many people do you know that actually can anymore? I cant believe people are so lazy and trusting in the gov. that they would forget the basics of survival. And even THEY give you instructions on it! Just reading food labels nowadays gives me a headache. Almost every senior citizen in my neighborhood canned when I was growing up. My parents were both born in 1930, and most of their friends canned. I grew up with it, but totally took it for granted. I was too busy doing MANLY stuff. Moron. lol I'm making up for it now, though.
The TP Patriots are hosting survival classes next month, and during the early summer. My bro. and me volunteered to teach planting, gardening and seed saving. If nobody volunteers canning and dehydrating, we'll do those, too. I brought up how about teaching raising chickens and rabbits, too. NO ONE had thought that was important. OMG. They do now, after I got really mouthy and belligerent. Oops. :-) I was like..."You can raise rabbits in your garage if you have to, minimal cost for maximum protein. NO ONE will know you have them!" Then the light bulbs went off. I'm excited some people are waking up. Hope theres time yet.
