There is really no recipe other than just melt your favorite kind of chocolate and spread it on waxed or parchment paper.( You may want to add a little vegi oil to help the consistency-this is especially true with white chocolate as it doesn't have much butter fat in it.) Don't make it too thin or it will be flimsy. If you want to layer your chocolate put the first layer in the fridge until hard. Leave it in the fridge until you have your second kind of chocolate ready to go. You have to work fast in spreading the 2nd hot chocolate over the first layer of it will start to melt the first layer. Your top layer of chocolate can be sprinkled with whatever kind of treat you want such as heath bar crunch, peppermint sticks crushed up or nuts-really anything you want. I take the back of the spoon and press the sprinkles into the top layer while it's still warm-otherwise they have a tendency to shake off when you break up the pieces. Refrigerate until cold.
For the one that I made yesterday I melted milk chocolate chips, then layered white chocolate over that then added the peppermint sticks.
Once I broke up the big piece which I had to do with a butcher knife I vac sealed the candy in mason jars and put them in the fridge. I felt that if the house was too warm the pieces might melt a little and all of the pieces might stick together into one big block. When you break up the block there are a bunch of little sample pieces that have a tendency to break off but I just put them into a bowl for the kids to sample. That way we had the agreement that they were not to touch the stuff in the jars.
