Howdy Fred! Glad to hear you are still in a holding pattern, (as opposed to giving up), you will get there, keep the light on the dream. I am actually looking forward to fall/winter this year as a time to hopefully slow down a little, I am fried.

Hi Guys, It took me forever to get signed back in but I wanted to stop by and say Hi. That to see that you guys are still alive and kicking. We are getting ready to finish planting our winter garden. And currently I have some prickly pear fruit cooking on the stove to make prickly pear syrup. A few weeks ago a friend of mine and i got together and made prickly pear jelly. I have also made a few jars of regular tomatoes, some zucchini salsa, and zucchini relish. At the very beginning of the summer I made two quart ziplock bags of spagetti sauce that wasn't the best (I learned my lesson of using tomatoes that weren't all the way ripe....they were ones I got from a place). Our romas did really well and so did our little yellow pear tomatoes, but we won't try to grow Arkansas Travelers again....what a waste of space. We also had issues with our soaker hoses this summer. Oh well, you live and learn and be thankful you don't have to starve if it didn't grow and hope for a better crop next season. Our new group of chickens are laying. Hopefully soon our goats will be in heat so we can have babies and milk in the spring. Other then that we are alive and kicking and enjoying life. Hope everyone can do an update of what is happening in life soon. Oh and Fred, what about just making do with what you can where you are? Is that a possiblity? Do you live in a crowded neighborhood? Can you have a few chickens where you live?
