Am quite a bit closer to some real woods now, seen some sign lately that would indicate that they still do Andy. One pretty big boy roams just a few hundred yards away. A lot of yotes also, but they are extremely nocturnal. A few neighbors are interested in possibly reducing their numbers a bit. Soon's Maria is ready I think we shall do just that.

The coyotes are fun to hunt. When I was a kid about 12 my dad and I called them in at dawn using a call that sounded like a wounded rabbit. We were up in a tree with about 30 of them under us. We sat and shot a bunch of them. This was back when there was a bounty on them. They gave us 20 dollars for every ear/tail pair we brought in.

Yup, can't wait to see if that 7.62 X 54 will turn one over, kinda believe it will. Wish there was a bounty here on them but there isn't. There should be though, those things are baad news. The property owner said to eliminate any ferrel hogs we see on his property too, so...... Think I'll order a caller and give it a try.
