Went into the local second hand store to look for canning jars (can usually pick them up there for $.29 each.) Instead I found an ALL AMERICAN CANNER for $10.00. I put that in my cart so fast my DD was laughing at me. Then just to be safe I put my four year old GD in the cart and had her sit on the canner, just in case. ;D What really amazed me was when I took it to check out, the cashier (in her 60's) told me she was scared to death of canners because her Mom told her they would blow up and kill you. I told her I had been canning since I was in grade school and had never blown one up yet!!!!

Nice score! I dont suppose you'd consider adoption? I am attractively challenged, but I cook real good.

GREAT FIND!!! That is awesome. Which model did you find? I got a brand new never opened 921 for $175 and thought I had the deal of the century, you topped that one for sure.

From the looks of them, I would say that All-American makes them for Lehmans, they are too close for it to be another manufacturer.

I hear ya Rick, I wasooking f a dealon one for over a year before I found that one. Missed several on Craigslist before I was successful with that one. I had been using Lynn's mom's Presto, and that worked great, but I had it for almost two years, and I think she was getting ready to start requiring payoffs in canned food.... ;D

I really need 2 canners. While the first ones cooling down, the second one'd be crankin away. With meats i can only get 4 batches a day. I have a 32 # homegrown turkey in the freezer, i cant imagine how many batches thats gonna take! Gonna smoke it in chunks, that fat bastid wont fit in my smoker. Need the freezer space for chevon, although i'll can some Of that, too. Soon as it snows good, im all over it. Like a big boy at an all you can eat buffet. I go about once a year, myself, and they hate to see me comin! Funny, folks gothere and get a salad. I'm getting plate fulls of shrimp and steak. I got lettuce at home. My food is better, but they clean up the mess in my wake, which isnt pretty. I tip good, though!
