And what is America doing to help them control this thing ? They DID ask for our help. We don't have a real interest in this thing...or do we ? Personally, I'd say we have a hell of a lot more interest in being over in Japan right now than we do being in all those camel-jockey, towel-head 3rd world countries where Saturday night entertainment is burning our flag and throwing malatovs at our boys.

I agree Mike-I know the Japanese have a lot of pride, but I don't understand-The only thing I can think of is that the radiation is a lot worse than what they are saying in Japan, and they don't want our military anywhere near it. I mean they have already evacuated some-but-
Behind everything there is an agenda I guess.

Hey guys, this doesn't look so good. Anyone seen anything to confirm or deny this ? It's gettin' worse. EPA: Radioactive Iodine-131 levels in PA & MA rainwater “exceed maximum contaminant level permitted in drinking water” March 29th, 2011 at 07:56 PM 1749Share58 6Stumble126Email1940Share UPDATE: Radioactive Iodine-131 in Pennsylvania rainwater sample 3300% above federal drinking water standard EPA: Expect More Radiation in Rainwater, Forbes Blog, March 28 2011: [Emphasis Added] … The levels [of iodine-131 in rainwater in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts] exceed the maximum contaminant level (MCL) permitted in drinking water, but EPA continues to assure the public there is no need for alarm: “It is important to note that the corresponding MCL for iodine-131 was calculated based on long-term chronic exposures over the course of a lifetime – 70 years. The levels seen in rainwater are expected to be relatively short in duration,” the [EPA] states in a FAQ that accompanied yesterday’s brief news release. … EPA said it is receiving “verbal reports” of higher levels of radiation in rainwater… “We continue to expect similar reports from state agencies and others across the nation given the nature and duration of the Japanese nuclear incident.” … Read the report here. I posted this very thing over at the Tree over a week ago to see what the astronomy experts thought and most of them poo pooed me-until Japan. Now they are all bringing it up and it's even on the news. It has long been understood that the moon has a lot to do with our gravitational pull etc-that in conjunction with the series of CME's that we had this week-In my Opinion is what caused the quake of Friday. Watch spaceweather.com this week to watch for solar flares. It will be interesting to see if this pans out. Watch spaceweather.com this week to watch for solar flares. Rick-it HAD crossed my mind at some point during the week (radiation). Particularly because I'm normally not one to get sick. And MAN was I SICK! The whole family has battled it (except my oldest) I couldn't understand it at all. I'm still not 100%-I'm tired, still getting the headaches and my muscles hurt....Hey what are you going to do right? We all are going to bed early tonight- If we're getting effects from the radiation in the water here (as was reported) then it would explain why everyone here has been suffering from some kind of malady. Thanks for the links-I'm going to check them out when I get home.

Yep. This is what gets me, that stuff is collective just like arsenic, one tiny particle is in itself not significant, but it remains in your body and when you have recieved your quota, bingo.... toes up. From your article; “Consuming food containing radionuclides is particularly dangerous. If an individual ingests or inhales a radioactive particle, it continues to irradiate the body as long as it remains radioactive and stays in the body,”said Alan H. Lockwood, MD, a member of the Board of Physicians for Social Responsibility. “The Japanese government should ban the sale of foods that contain radioactivity levels above pre-disaster levelsand continue to monitor food and water broadly in the area. In addition, the FDA and EPA must enforce existing regulations and guidelines that address radionuclide content in our food supply here at home.” And the news keeps saying it is at a "safe" level, yet the real doctors say the above.... And the sheeple continue to sleep. I don't particularly worry about stuff like onions and even maters, that can be washed off really well, but things like brocoli are impossible to wash off well. And dang it, my brocoli is just now beginning to produce. Just a thought, Not sure, but methinks reverse osmosis processed water is clean.

TOKYO - Japan raised the crisis level at its crippled nuclear plant Tuesday to a severity on par with the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, citing high overall radiation leaks that have contaminated the air, tap water, vegetables and seawater. Japanese nuclear regulators said they raised the rating from 5 to 7 - the highest level on an international scale of nuclear accidents overseen by the International Atomic Energy Agency - after new assessments of radiation leaks from the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant since it was disabled by the March 11 tsunami. www.aolnews.com/2011/04/11/fire-put-out-at-japans-damaged-nuke-plant-crisis-level-raised/?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl1|sec1_lnk2|55491

"After new assessments" my arse. They've known-that much is very obvious-they have only now been forced to admit it. Meanwhile Cesium 137 is showing up around the country in tainted milk and water-it's even been reported in Vermont.

I just watch those videos of the 'whipping' air currents heading our way and feel sick to my stomach. I'm usually against any international laws, but building nuke plants on a volcanic island.....? That gets a giant WTF? from me.
