It was snowing hear a bit ago, and the chickens were watching the flakes fall then pecking at them when they hit the ground.

That must have been fun to watch. Must really confuse an AZ chicken. If i dont feed them early enough, they give me that one- eyed, sideaways glare in the window with their head tilted like a dog will do. Smart little bird brains, considering. Yummy, too.

It's a hoot to watch.... Whether they have food or not the chickens follow my wife around like she's got the food.

The hens follow me around some, the roosters, not so much. Prolly cause they know I think their tasty. I just look at the Head Rooster In Charge, named Crock Pot, and he boogies. We've had the dsicussion before about who is in charge. He remembers quite well that .22 bullets chased him across the pasture, every time he slowed down he got sprayed with dirt. He's been nice to the ladies ever since. If a lesser rooster is chasing a hen, he beats hell out of it. Good, saves on ammo.
